A Little Bit Good

Sunday, 02 June 2024 08:27

It takes a pretty good horse to win four races in succession, anywhere, and that’s exactly what the Lance O’Sullivan and Andrew Scott A little Bit of Love (Time Test-A Little Bit Irish by O’Reilly) is, with the Graham and Helen-Gaye Bax gelding managing the rare feat when winning over 1400m at Pukekohe on Saturday.

The Time Test gelding, who is owned by the One Second syndicate managed by Graham and Helen-Gaye’s daughter Kylie, is a great example of the benefits of giving a horse time. Debuting as a 4YO, back in December, A Little Bit of Love has put together the imposing record of five wins from eight career starts.

For good measure, the Noel Nicholson bred mare Perfect Test (Time Test-Perfect Vision by High Chaparral) recorded her third win in 11 career starts when she won the last event on the feature Wanganui meeting card on Saturday. Perfect Test is a sister to her year younger full brother Snellen, who was sold to Hong Kong after winning at Otaki in December.

A Little Bit of Love and Perfect Test join a growing list of progressive Time Test 4YO's who look set to ensure a big domestic season for the son of Dubawi in 2024/25.

LA are delighted to present a draft of eight Time Test weanlings at the NZB National Weanling Sale at Karaka on 20 June.
