More Per Incanto Talent Unearthed

Sunday, 09 June 2024 08:50

The unveiling of new Per Incanto talent continued at Ruakaka on Saturday, further reinforcing that the uplift in quality of mares that the stallion has served in recent seasons is about to lift the son of Street Cry to even greater heights.

Dan Vegas accomplished the difficult task of winning first time to the races over 1400m when he led all the way to make a successful debut at the coastal circuit on Saturday. A full brother to the recent Australian stakes winner Gringotts (Per Incanto-Miss Bluebell by Savabeel), the Kenny Rae and Krystal Williams trained 3YO is raced by his owners and breeders LA and Dirk and Nicci Oberholster.

The Ruakaka success came on the back of fellow 3YO Oak Hill (Per Incanto-Isstoora by High Chaparral) registering his third success in five starts with another metropolitan victory in Melbourne on Wednesday, and the impressive first-up win by Lucky Sweynesse’s half-brother Lazio (Per Incanto-Madonna Mia by Red Clubs) at New Plymouth on Thursday.

Per Incanto, whose book will be restricted to 100 mares, will stand the 2024 season at LA for a service fee of $50,000 plus GST.
