Wexford Stables continued their outstanding season when their five-year-old mare Karman Line (Myboycharlie-World Away by Pierro) scored a well-deserved stakes success when defeating dual Group 1 winner La Crique in a strong edition of the 1400m Group 3 ITM Stakes at Rotorua on Saturday.

A $14,000 purchase from LA’s 2019 National Weanling Sale draft, buyers can expect to find more quality amongst LA’s offering at this years sale which is at Karaka on 20 June.

World Away, the dam of Karman Line has been an inspired purchase for the farm. Following Karman Line, her first foal, the mare produced the exciting Alexandra Quick, the winner of two of her four career starts before injury forced an early retirement. Her next foal is the unraced Exceedance filly Tristar, a $220k purchase from LA’s 2023 Karaka Book 1 draft, who looks to have plenty of ability judging by her two trials.

Meanwhile Per Incanto continues to churn out winners faster than a politician changes their mind. A highlight amongst the stallions 11 winners in the first nine days of May was the double at Whanganui including the debut success of the Anna Williams and Ben Petro bred Poukawa.
